Requirements
The requirements below are for making both the Patchwork Ornaments and Patchwork Trees mug rugs.
- Various scraps approximately 3 to 4″
- One (1) 8″ x 11″ piece of light weight muslin or broadcloth (inexpensive)
- One (1) 8″ x 11″ piece of lightweight fusible woven interfacing (optional)
- Two (2) 10.25″ x 6.25″ for appliqué background fabric
- Scrap of brown fabric for the tree trunks
- Two (2) 11″ x 7″ pieces backing fabric
- Two (2) strips 2.25″ x 40″ for binding
- Half yard paper-backed fusible web (such as Wonder Under or Heat’n Bond Lite)
- Two (2) 10.25″ x 6.25″ pieces of lightweight fusible woven interfacing or wash away stabilizer
- Two (2) 11″ x 7″ pieces batting
- General quilting supplies (i.e. rotary cutter, mat, sewing machine, piecing thread, etc.)
The first three items above are used in making the colourful Patchwork Fabric. If you wish, you can use scraps of cotton fabrics for the appliqué shapes instead of making your own fabric as shown in the samples.

Well designed sewing activity project organizer and planner.
I have so many hankies and this quilt looks like a lot of fun to make. I have been cleaning out my sewing/craft room and hope to start on this in a month or so. Thanks for the neat pattern.
I can’t bring my heavy machine, so I was very glad that there was the option to rent a machine.

This track helped very much in keeping my Gifting for 2026 organized. The tracker is very comprehensive. The only page I would love to see added is a "Where did I hide it" page.
It's an adorable baby quilt pattern, havent made yet, but I will.
I love the scrappy, cozy feel of this pattern.
I really love that you share the patterns. I haven’t had a chance to start sewing yet, but looking forward to when I do.
I can’t wait to try this pattern. It looks stunning, but seems quite doable!
So in the past, I have had bound planners to keep track of projects. While those are great, they don’t have the ability to arrange and be flexible in how they are arrranged. With the pdf planner, I can print extras of the pages I need, put them in the order I choose, and generally write and rewrite to my heart’s content! I love this planner so far, and I an excited to keep returning to it throughout the year.
