Delightful Stars is an advanced beginner quilt, leaning towards the intermediate quilter. Skills needed include the ability to accurately sew a 1/4″ seam allowance and accurate cutting so that the puzzle-like design will fit together correctly. You should be very comfortable making triangle units.
Fabric Requirements
Many of the star blocks have several different colors/fabrics used in them. I recommend a range of light, medium and dark fabrics for best results. The estimated fabric requirements are presented below and assume that the two colored borders will be pieced with scraps from the fat quarters used in the quilt top.
- 6.5 yards contrast for background.
- 34-40 fat quarters (8.5 to 10 yards) – you need a wide variety of different fabrics to complete the star blocks.
- Approximately 8 yards backing depending on how you choose to piece the back.
- One yard binding.
If you are using a white (or very light) background, you will need to have more dark fabrics so that they can be used on the outer edges of the star blocks for contrast. The same idea applies if you are using black (or very dark) as the background, you will need a wide variety of light (or medium) fabrics that will contrast against the black. Generally speaking, I don’t recommend a print for the background unless it is tone-on-tone and provides great contrast with your chosen fabrics.

Pinwheel Twist Quilt Pattern
ALSO MY PRINTER IS BEING REPAIRED SO NO PRINTING FOR AWHILE. GLAD TO GET IT THOUGH.
I really like the pattern, and since we have no babies in the family right now, I intend to make table runners and a bed quilt!
I haven't made one yet, but have read the directions. The directions seem to be quite clear and the doll fairly easy to make.
Casserole Hot Pad with Pockets Pattern - pdf tutorial
I love the pattern. I am on a fixed income and want to make useful gifts for my three children and their spouses. This is very simple and I can use scraps or bits and pieces that I have laying around.
For Christmas I made my two daughter-in-laws and my daughter 3 table runners each for Christmas, January, and February. I am now making 3 table runners for March, April, and May. The month that they are born in they get 4 table runners. And, fortunately, they are February, April, and then December. With their birthdays spread out like this it is really each to make. I love the Sochi Table Runner. Going to be a great one to add to the group. Thank you so much.
very happy with the pattern and easy to follow instructions
These poems are very nice and will be useful. It is not easy to come up with little poems to have in a card.
Thank you.
Directions are well written and easy to follow.

Just what I needed‼️
I haven't had the chance to use them yet but I do love the idea and can't wait to use them!!! They look great!!!
